NEW COMBWICH DEFIBRILLATORS – 28.9.20
The new defibrillators have been installed and are fully operational as from today. One is located inside the BT phone box (junction of Brookside Rd / Wharf Rd) and the other is on the outer wall of the Anchor Inn facing the car park.
It is hoped familiarisation training will be arranged for residents, but this is not possible at the moment due to the Covid-19 situation. However, you do not need to be trained to use a defibrillator – anyone can use it. There are clear instructions on how to attach the defibrillator pads. It then assesses the heart rhythm and will only instruct you to deliver a shock if it’s needed.
